Free guerrilla open air art exhibition

August 8th, 2011

The Danish art collective hVepsen is hosting a free, guerilla-style open air exhibition in Copenhagen this week – or as long as it lasts. “2011.08.07 – SpermhVepsen #1″ is a series of paintings mounted near the building site for the new Metro line by Enghave Plads. The paintings, by Danish artists, musicians and hVepsen founders Jonas Geertsen and tseuq, were produced during the weekend of 5-7 August 2011. There are no socio-political statements or explorations of urban consciousness, just art for creativity’s sake.

The exhibition will be in effect until the paintings are removed, stolen or destroyed by the elements. Whichever happens first.

Malmö Gallerinatt 2010

September 25th, 2010

tseuq provided the music/noise for the video/sound installation ‘Ambient Rabbit’ by Swedish artist Björn Olsson for the 2010 Malmö gallerinatt at Abandoned Gallery. The piece made it to the front page of the arts and culture section of Swedish broadsheet Sydsvenskan.

Sofia Härding and Jan Cardell outside Abandoned Gallery

Swedish musician Sofia Härdig and artist Jan Cardell played a few excellent sets on the Abandoned Gallery loading bay.
Drums and bass parts from a selection of Härdig’s songs were transposed for, and performed by, Cardell’s sound sculpure Mechanical Sound Garden. Härdig herself did vocals and played guitar.
